Children's Services - Hancock County Job and Family Services

Through its partnerships with community organizations and state and federal government agencies, Hancock County Job & Family Services provides a number of services to families and individuals in need of assistance. These services range from food stamps, cash assistance, and child care subsidies to child support enforcement, job training, and access to medical care.


Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

CASA is central to fulfilling society's most fundamental obligation by making sure a qualified, compassionate adult will fight for an protect a child's right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect, and to learn and grow in the security of a loving family.

Hancock County Prosecutor's Office Victim Assistance

The prosecutor's office is here to help you and will make every effort to ensure that victims and witnesses receive prompt notification of scheduled changes that involve their case.


Hope House

Hope House serves homeless and impoverished individuals and families in Hancock County. With the help of dedicated volunteers and generous donors, Hope House assists with securing safe and affordable housing for over 7,000 individuals each year.

Born out of the need for homeless services for women and children in 1990, Hope House now provides a continuum of services that help individuals and families locate and permanently maintain housing. In addition to the Hope House Shelter, Hope House serves as the Front Door for housing assistance in Hancock County out of its offices in The Family Center.

Ohio Department of Youth Services

The Ohio Department of Youth Services (DYS) is the juvenile corrections system for the state of Ohio. DYS is statutorily mandated to confine felony offenders, ages 10 to 21, who have been adjudicated and committed by one of Ohio's 88 county juvenile courts. During their stay with DYS, youth are engaged in programming that is designed to address their criminological and behavioral needs. Each of the DYS facilities also operates a year-round school that offers general curriculum as well as vocation opportunities.
